Nuw bewk

Saw this plain leathery notebook in Wilko and through past urges to draw people decided to turn it in to a proper drawing book (a more permanent thing than most of my moleskins etc., and wanted to start properly drawing people from sight, but am removing/will eventually remove (probably) the first one, the second is of a child (teen/preteen) I was babysitting. Her mum said I'd really captured her face but she had been on the sauce.

Mainly based on the previously shown ASOS shoes. I think I'm in love.

Le child.

Drawn from memory trying to recapture the face I saw but even the words aren't really explaining it.

Inspired by various faces, never drawn a mouth like that, or done that much hatching in that kind of timeframe.

Drawn whilst watching CSI:NY - any link? Apart from the one who might have HIV having always looked malnourished enough for it, much like my girl here. Okay, maybe some.

Beginnings of a drawing of my namesake, who happens to be fairly fucking impossible to draw. More coming.

I Need Money.

So my internet shopping has increased fourteen-fold over the last few months since getting my first debit card, especially concerning ASOS and their nice clothes and the whole not-having-to-communicate thing of the internet. Seeing as It'll be awhile before I can accumulate these clothes (or they've gone out of stock but I'm keeping them in the Saved Items list anyway because hoarder tendencies) and my one-person camera capabilities are quite limited, like a recent leaving out of a frankly beautiful and brilliant image to make way for the mental image from Watchmen (the comic/graphic novel) (I just spent most of my evening reading half of it, the image in question of a distraught, middle aged mechanic standing in the middle of a fully windowed office wearing a pair of fake, rubber breasts. The reading of it was like going to sleep but slightly less useless, and still ended with the waking-up-in-the-evening feeling, which I think caused some degree of mental echo of the time I did some spray painting and then napped for three hours, waking up in a brilliant mood, a suspected little accidental high, giving me this nice, enclosed feeling of happiness), I'll give you the pictures, you put the stuff together.
Felt the need to do this because I 'modified'(nearly incinerated whilst trying to clean up some cut hem) a top and wore it with a few things and it almost felt lookbook.nu worthy. Sorry for the photo quality, been too lazy to find better ones, all photos via, courtesy of and property of ASOS.com

Possibly My First Tonal Pencil Drawing

Ever.
Had to do something on the theme of 'Inside', was partly inspired by Christo and Jeanne-Claude wrapping large architectural structures etc., kinda made me think of when you get a package and it's broken inside or squashed (not that that's ever happened to me with our top-standard British Postal Service (no, really, it hasn't)) but mainly like this because I'd already started drawing the box and had to fit the legs in.

£6.50 Almost Gone To Waste

Almost ended up wasting the money spent on eight mirrors before I turned them in to a mirror room (ish) and stuck a bunch of shit on it.

Making the most of the pens I bought when I had a nosebleed in a retail park.

I think I've now exhausted all the social media I can in telling the world about my public nosebleed. Been trying/not trying to drawcharacters for a short graphic novel I'm trtying to do for the Observer's(?) competition.

Induction Day

Had a taster day at an arts specialist school (6th form/college stuff), took some sneaky photographs of some of the work.

These two (above and below) are from someone's book, it was filled with things like these, but developing further on to painting the different parts etc.

These two (ditto) are on the subject of love and obsession, after a break-up. He wrote the guy's name repeatedly on a piece of A2 card in a tatoo-like font. The second one really got me, firstly because I'd done what he'd done in lining up receipts (for a different topic, and not quite a nice looking), and secondly because they're arranged chronologically, with bold 'EXCHANGES AND REFUNDS' starting to appear towards the right, once they'd broken up, like the black mark of pirates, but for a relationship.(Little unintentional pun there)

Screenshots of a music video and the outfit I wore. Was quite proud of it. Don't usually get hit on and voted best dressed on my table.
